The most important factor when selecting a Chicago screw is the combined thickness of the materials being joined. The correct size is when the length of the screw post is approximately 2 mm shorter than the total material thickness.
For an extra secure and long-lasting connection, apply a drop of thread-locking adhesive to the screw thread.
