Soft non-woven material, also known as batting or fleece/vlies. It is thinly coated on one side for stiffening, giving it good body/structure. Despite being soft, the thin batting provides excellent structure to bags sewn from fabric. It is very easy to work with:
- cut pieces of batting the same size as the pieces you want to stiffen,
- attach the batting to the wrong side of the fabric along the edges using thin double-sided adhesive tape
- sew the bag together according to the current instructions. The backpack shown among the product photos was made with this bag stiffening fleece/vlies.
